I've had people tell me I took the easy way out getting the epidural but i don't care. I'm not afraid to admit that I can not handle pain lol

It's different for every woman, I have my reasons for not wanting an epi since I have horrid back pain already from a breast reduction surgery so I can't take any chances of making it worse. The way I see it, I think a csection can be the most traumatizing for a woman, the baby, and her body as it's letting go of something so precious when at times it's not intentionally ready.

Yeah. I feel so bad for my step-mom. Her dr told her to start pushing when she was only at like an 8 or 9 and she pushed for HOURS! My brothers shoulder got stuck so they had to rush her into emergency c-section. I can't imagine being in that situation.

No...sorry if i stated it wrong...the commercial was urging women to wait until their actual due date and don't rush having the baby, via c-section. The commercial just alerted me that there is a huge problem with early birthing  .

That was another excuse for a csection because they are suppose to wait til she's 10cm and having the real urges to push herself not force her.. that's sad. Giving birth is not easy you know.

I don't find the need for an early birth unless necessary. It brings tons of risk for the baby and mother. I really don't get it when women are trying to force an induction that end up being very harmful. The longer the baby is in there at term the more brain and organ development he/she can receive. I think that's dangerous and very selfish.

Soooo thankful to be seeing a midwife who has only mentioned c-section once. And that was to let me know the percentage they have to stay under in Norway. It's 15% and for the past few years, it's averaged at 13%

The csection percentage at my birth center is 4.4% which gives me a great amount of relief when she told me.
