This note just came home with my preschooler.

"At the end of the day Caiden jumped on another student and repeatedly kept punching and swinging at him. He was reminded to keep his hands to himself and that wasn't nice "

What the bloody hell do I do about this? When I ask him all he says is "hit friend"

How old is he? I would be mad and sort of embarrassed. Mine arent in school yet so I dont know the protocol, but Id want to apologize and have my kid apologize for his behavior. Talk to him and let him know that the behavior is not ok.

I would try to find out what led up to this episode and ensure your child knows that putting hands on someone else is not acceptable

I don't know hunny.   But it's definitely something that needs to be addressed.

I would sit down with him and make sure he understands that it's not okay to hit

Like someone else mentioned, possibly find out what led to the altercation to discuss the issue properly. Was it due to sharing,.name calling etc.

One thing I would do if he doesn't seem to understand is maybe ask his speech therapist what they would suggest?

Oh! Good idea! I tried calling his teacher to see exactly what happened. My mom told me that if he did it out of anger then we're in trouuuble.
