PP Healing??

What kinds of things, if any, did you do after you got home for PP care for your lady parts and swelling? This was my first vaginal delivery (VBAC) and I got a second degree tear (not too bad) and every time I stand up it feel likes my butthole is going to fall out. I'm like really scared to poop before discharge from the hospital lol. But anyways, I've heard of PP herbal bath soaks and things like that do I wanted to know of any specific kinds or some other things you ladies might do.

Sitz baths are the main thing..try to do them as much as you can, i know its hard when u have a new baby..but take the time and do them. Use the squirt bottle instead of wiping, dap to dry. I also put iodine in the squirt bottle with warm water and put it on the area, and that helped me heal. As far as pooping goes..i was so scared...but get some stool softeners..so its more comfortable to go..it really helps.

the hospital shouldprvide you with the sitz bath and epsom salt

Yup! It's called dermoplast.

I wasn't told to do anything in particular - just make sure to dab, not wipe and to switch pads as needed. I really didn't feel any different afterward, other than a little light headed when I jumped in the shower. Lady parts were okay.

I was gifted some sort of bottom spray at my baby shower to help with bowel movements or something, in case they became painful, but I actually forgot about it until I recently moved and had to pack everything up. Didn't have much trouble with 'em, I guess, but I also didn't have one until more than a week had passed.

And Dermoplast has been my savior!

Dab when done going to the bathroom. Take stool softeners so it makes it a lot easier to go. My hospital started me on them but I was too nervous to poop while there but it made it a lot easier once I got home. I also used baby wipes when I did poop because they were softer and felt better.

Ice packs were my favorite thing PP. I never used the numbing spray but wore ice packs a lot.

The hospital should provide you with one; you will probably need to ask, though.
If not, you can buy them at most pharmacies.

sitz baths, dermoplast I used it religiously bc it kinda numbed me, the squirt bottle never wipe always pat, and take stool softners to poop sounds like u have hemoroids they feel like needles when your trying to poop I would get prep h or if their really bad like mine I got a prescription from my inhuman my hemorrhoids hurt more the. The vag delivery lol

I used a water bottle with warm water when I went to the bathroom... Then I'd spray dermoplast, and cover myself with tuck pads
