Hello. I'm destiny.. I've got the sweetest 3 year old son, Keyton. I've been a member here for almost four years now, but I've been non-active for awhile. But I'm back, Been divorced for over a year now & My sons father isnt in his life at all anymore. I'm looking for some fellow single moms maybe also in my situation.

It's definetly rough. I can't lie at times it is empowering, knowing I do it on my won. Miss Independent I guess lol.
But those days when my LO asks for his dad or asks why hes not around. Kinda get to me =/

I totally get what you mean, it's fun playing both roles, getting to make all the important decisions etc all by yourself !

That and i always hated that in my marriage before I basically had no say in smurf because he worked, payed the bills and felt at times he was above me. Not the case anymore!

It is dificult making ends me and caring for my son at the same time, but the controlling bs is no longer there!

My daughter seen this guy outside the other day and it resembled her father and she ran to the window screaming "Daddy Daddy" and then ran to the front door smiling and laughing and knocking on it and My heart broke right there  

Hello! I'm Brandi. I'm a single mom of two kids, and I've never not done it on my own, weird as it sounds. I had my son about 6 years ago and his father disappeared into thin air about 6 weeks after he was born. I got with my daughter's father who was a friend of mine for SEVEN years, and he broke up with me a month before she was due. I ended up having her 4 days later. But even when he was around, he wasn't providing for my son, I was. And I bought everything to prepare for having DD. He didn't spend a dime. I guess I just know how to pick 'em.

I know how you feel here hon.
I felt the very same after my ex left, then got his new girl pregnant shortly after being with her.
It is hard, and till take you awhile..

Get back in touch with old friends, pick up old hobbies, and spend lots of mommy/daughter time with your little one. it does help, and it does get easier
