Placenta Encapsulation?

I guess this could go here lol sorry if it seems like it should be in another topic.

I'm just wondering for all the ladies who did get there placenta's encapsulated:

Did you add any herbs to it? The woman doing mine steams it with lemon and ginger before dehydrating everything but says I can add other herbs if I'd like. I know I want to add extra herbs but I'm not sure which ones I should add.

So (if you did) what did you add?

Not debating, but just asking. I'm not sure of what placenta encapsulation is meant for? Isn't the placenta essentially like a giant cigarette filter that filters the toxins for the baby? So wouldn't that be bad to eat?

Add some fenugreek and get a little supply boost haha! But really I have no idea what herbs to add   I never knew there were so many choices haha

It helps with PPD.

I have no idea   I wanted to get mine encapsulated but I'm having difficulties on finding out if the hospital will release it.

Nearly every mammal eats theirs.   It helps with many different things.

OP, maybe add garlic?

I had to sign a waiver, and they wouldn't release it for 72 hours post delivery. It's still chillin' in their freezer because I haven't had the chance to go get it.

It's actually really good for you and can reduce some
Cancer risks and stuff. Google it I think there's an official website that has the benefits.

I searched and there's nobody around here that's certified to do it. And I'm not searching for some backwoods person Idk if I could trust that haha unless I knew them personally.

can you check for doulas that do it? the person that did mine is a doula and she does it on the side.

It's a relatively simple process, you can do it yourself.

I did. We only have 2 certified doulas here and 1 working on cert. there was 1 person working on Gettig certified for encapsulation but couldn't practice it yet. I'm not sure how you get certified
