Oily skin

posted 5th Dec
What are some good facial cleansing products for oily sensitive skin? Also, what about a face moisturizer? Any natural remedies with things I might have at home? I had a great complexion before I was pregnant. Now I look like a pepperoni pizza, grease and all. I give up on wearing make up.

I've been using Loreal twice a day for about a month and it doesn't seem to be helping much.

I also tried washing my face with dial soap but that REALLY dried out my face and irritated my skin (red & blotchy).

Any suggestions?

Dawn dish soap (original blue) for cleaning is great for oily skin. Also, Yes to Tomatoe face moisturizer works wonders. It's the only moisturizer that doesn't make my skin gross.

i use the 3 step system at walmart... its from neutrogena .. for stress... hmm trying ot think of what its called. i use the face scrub, good for cleaning and getting into pores, follow up with toner and then the lotion. i usually have not so great skin and ive been using this system for a year or so and my skin looks great. even through pregnancy

Try a cream face wash. Before I broke out badly, I was using a cream facial wash by Neutrogena. I'm using a face wash by ZapZyt right now and its clearing me up. Once I'm clear, I'm going back to my cream cleanser.

As for moisturizers, there's a product by Lush cosmetics called Dream Cream. Good stuff.

'Natural' remedies for drying up pimples: Hydrogen Peroxide, egg white mask, tumeric mask (VERY good, read up on it), Apple cider vinegar toner.

Try using a 2% salicylic acid or 5% benzoyl peroxide leave on treatment. Don't shoot for the 10% benzoyl peroxide, way too strong during pregnancy. Use oil blotting sheets throughout the day or look into finding some good oil control products.

Yeah. We're just trying to get past the holidays, birthday, and DH just finished school. So in January he'll be starting his new better paying job. I'll have to remember that face wash. I can never find the right kind.

My Grandma is bugging me about what I want for Christmas. I keep telling her nothing. Looks like I found something! I'll talk to her and we might be contacting you.
