i'm 28 weeks and have gained about 11 lbs. i'm worried though because he is measuring a little bit small, and i feel like i'm not eating enough for him to grow right. (i gained 30 lbs total with my 1st, he was small too 6lbs 4oz at birth at 38 weeks) so maybe i just have small babies? i hope.

when i was 34 weeks (last week) i was only measuring at 28cm and the ob wasn't concerned. the meaurements are very inaccurate.

my uterus is measuring fine, the baby is measuring small not too bad but small. (1 lb 15 oz at 27 weeks), but like i said my 1st was a smaller baby as well so idk why i'm so worried this time haha.

When you measured smaller they didnt bring you back to the week that would fit the size of your baby, because they did that to me in the beginning because im certain when i conceived and they brought me back a week and 2 days because the baby measured smaller, im just curious, my doctor did say its hard to get the baby's age from their size i just find it strange that they would bring me back and then move me forward again if its difficult to determine based on size?

nope because at this stage (really anytime after about 8 weeks) babies start to grow differently and have different growth spurts at different times ect. that's why they usually base your due date off an early ultrasound because at that time all babies measure roughly the same.

I'm a little ahead of you, I've gained thirty, which is the most I've gained out of all three of my pregnancies.

did you find out how much baby weighed via ultrasound?
when they do the fundal height measurement that's the size of your uterus, right?
i've never known! lol

yep i found out by ultrasound (i'm high risk due to chronic kidney disease, i only have one kidney and chronic blood pressure problems) and yeah fundal height is the size of uterus, however many cm's that measures should roughly correspond to how far along you are, of course it could be off due to too much/too little amniotic fluid ect.

could just be the way your carrying or the baby dropped, i'm sure if your dr was
concerned they would do an ultrasound to check.
