Its a rhogam shot , when a women is rh negative they get a shot at 28 weeks , I have had 3 pregnancys an had to get them but only had to get it after birth with my first cause his blood type wasnt the same as mine but if they are the same you wont get one after birth , an being rh negative is just a way of saying your body will fight off a pregnancy if the baby is not the same as you , an I never bled while pregnant so def talk to your doctor cause thats not normal at all.

Actually some women bleed throughout their pregnancy, it can be normal for an individual.

RhoGam is only given if mother is Rh negative. Something about certain antibodies that positive blood produces.

In all reality, if it is your first pregnancy, the most important shot is the very last on, 72 hrs after the birth of LO.

Every subsequent pregnancy, you should receive the shot at 28 weeks and after birth.

If there has ever been a miscarriage, you should receive RhoGam, after the miscarriage. If there is anytype of bleeding, you need to set an appt, to see your doc, to get the shot.

With my pregnancies I received it at 28 weeks and then again after delivery to reassure that I wasn't exposed to their blood in my body. My friend got horribly sick and had to deliver at 37 weeks because she wasnt treated right away. It's more of a risk, the more pregnancies you have.
