Maternity leave

When did you start your maternity leave?
I've had a good pregnancy health wise, so I'm not really taking any early maternity leave. I won't come back after Christmas, but that's only 2-3 work days I'll actually miss and I'm using vacation days for them.
I'm really starting to wish I'd taken some time prior b/c it's starting to get hard on me.

I'm already scheduled. But it wouldn't matter. My last day is Dec 21, as agreed upon between my boss and myself. I just wish I'd given myself a little more time between holidays and baby. But I didn't want to leave them short handed any longer than I had to

My c-section was scheduled for monday.. I worked through friday.

With my daughter it was until I had her then I went off. With my son I was off at 32 weeks because I had complications.

I'm planning on taking mine a little less than a week before she's due. Depending on how I'm feeling when I get that far along. If I start having too much back pain or getting too uncomfortable I'll probably leave maybe 3 weeks before, but I'm trying to stick it out as long as I can.

with my first, i went on maternity leave the day i went into labor. i plan to do the same this time. i want all my time off i get to be with the baby  

mine will start the day I have the baby   and end 52 weeks later   YIPEE!!! if I were still working which I haven't been able too due to medical issues... I would have started my mat leave probably two weeks early, as being a nurse and 9 months pregnant isn't the funnest thing in the world

52 weeks?! wow! nice.

I'm a nurse as well. Thankfully it's at a doctor's office and not a hospital or nursing home, but still.... on my feet all day, walking back and forth, and dealing with the headache of patients lol

With my first I stopped working just a couple weeks after I found out I was pregnant. (I found out at 3 weeks). Doctor put me on a medical leave of absence. And I went back to work when my son was about 7 months old.
This time around I plan on working until I'm due, or go into labour. As long as I can keep my job that long. (My boss is hell bent on firing me). And I'm taking a year off

I'm working up until I go into labor, atleast I hope to. I'm 36 weeks and 3 days and it is starting to get a little difficult.
