christmas presents for an 8 year old girl?

My friends had a lot of financial issues hit her in the past couple months (mostly out of her control, like the car needing $1500 in repairs 3 weeks ago) so she was only able to get her daughter like 3 little gifts and a pair boots...I feel awlful for her especially since my daughter is beyond spoiled and her child has seen what all I got my 2 year old...so I offered to buy her a couple things and told her she could pay me back next mont but all she asked I get her were some knock off heelys? I have NO idea what to get her but I want to get her more stuff and just tell her mom not to worry about the money...I would rather tell my friends *who are adutls* to go without gifts from me than watch this little girl receive so little...you know?

I know its not about the gifts and all that jazz so if that's your response keep it to yourself  

Also, I'm by no means rich so nothing really pricy

That's around my stepkid's age. Polly pocket, lalaloopsy, my little pony, heelys are shoes with wheels on the heel very popular here

maybe color books and crayons.
maybe so books if she likes reading.
a stuff animal or two.

I wish I knew! You could get her some books. Do you know if she still plays with barbies or brats or whatever is in now? I was really into nail polish and Girly stuff like that at 8. My sister loved Barbie up till like middle school though.

Sounds like you're a good friend  This year I'm getting my 8 year old daughter a hello kitty karaoke machine, some custom converse sneakers, an easy bake oven, making her a new blanket (my girls love it when they have special made things that fits their personality), some Dvds, and clothes. Hope this helps.

my 8 yr old sister likes monster high dolls, perfume, makeup kits, squinkies, littelest petshops, music, nailpolish, books games. You could make her a no sew tie blanket. Some hair stuff.

Thanks ladies! She's super girly! She loves wearing little heels and make-up...her mom did get her a make-up kit so that's covered....she doesn't really play with dolls tho...do kids identify with name brands? Because I was thinking I could kick in the extra like $15 for the difference between knock off and real heelys...do they make childrens sewing machines? Because she things mine is really cool lol

8 year olds are the hardest to buy for! My daughter is getting an electric guitar, mario cart for wii, a brave doll, girl legos, an archery set from brave,...
