I want to change.

I really need to crack down.

I got on the scale earlier for the first time in a few months, and I gained 10 pounds.  

That makes me a whopping 210 and I'm only 5'3.

So I'm going to start counting calories and cut out junk food, fast food, soda, etc.

I already eat whole wheat stuff only and only eat egg whites.. stuff like that.

Any advice/tips? I'm going to start running an hour a day, too. I hope I can really do this this time. I really disgust myself right now. I don't know how my husband can look at me or be remotely attracted to me.

One step at a time. Don't over load your self from the start or you will never stick with it.

cardio is a great way to lose pounds but you also want to do strength training so you can tone. Do you use the myfitnesspal app?

myfitnesspal.com is a great way to track calories   It really helped me, and the first week of using it I lost 5 lbs!

Advice- drink tons of water, go walking & cut out a good bit of sodium

Tip-don't be so down on yourself! Losing weight is easier when you can be optimistic about it. Having a good attitude helps. I was depressed about my size a few years ago(187, 5ft 6) & I tried & tried to lose weight but until I fully accepted myself as I was I couldn't do it

  I was there once. Same height and weight, although mine was bad eating combined with a bad thyroid. I got my diet in check and started being more active. I'm down to 180. You can do it!

Too many of the "wrong" carbs are bad. Good carbs such as those in broccoli are good.

Drink some cold water before meals, sometimes your body is thirsty and will send you a hungry cue just because you usually drink when you eat. Also, start small go for a walk in the afternoon... nothing strenuous. Finally make small diet changes- tonight I convinced DH to eat celery instead of potato chips. Small changes like that go a long way toward lifestyle changes that will last rather than the ups and downs of radical diets. If you do want to exercise find something you like doing-riding bikes, swimming, martial arts. Much luck to you!

Accepted and sent I like using it because i dont realize how much those little snacks & drinks add up calorie wise
