I got induced, I didn't know that I was able to refuse... Not many people know their rights.
My induction was long and boring, I didn't get pitocin tho.

My first induction was hell, my second was much better. Pitocin makes contractions more painful but its really not that bad

I was induced with my second. It was eh. Good in a way because you have a better idea of when the baby will be here but there are down sides. I had group strep so they waited for quite a while to pop my water and the pitocin does make the contractions worse. I don't know what labor is like without pitocin though, I had it with my first as well because I had mild preeclampsia and the magnesium stops labor. If you get induced just be prepared to want an epidural.

I was given pit after I stopped progressing. My labor/delivery was a smurfing nightmare.

Everyone reacts differently. For some its not that much more painful and for others like myself its liquid hell. Once my water broke I had no break between contractions...it also stressed my son out. His heart rate dropped and he ended up turning and I needed a C-section because at that point there was no way for me to turn him back. I would do alot of research before consenting...you can easily go to 42 weeks safely...Ive heard alot of natural birth stories that have gone longer with no issues.

I think getting induced hurts worse than natural, but thats just my opinion. I got induced with my first one, the meds bring on some harsh contractions. Second time I was sort of already in labor, and they added meds to help it along, it wasn't too bad.. but with my last I didn't have anything and it felt a lot better... I didn't feel the need for an epidural until I was a 10 and she was already crowning lol..
