Induced at 37 weeks ?

I just found out on thursday I have pre-eclampsia & on Thursday, December 13th I'll be 37 weeks so I'm going to be induced. What are the chances of baby leaving home with me ? I just don't want to leave him at the hospital :/

Chances are pretty good, unless he has trouble regulating his temp or blood sugar, or any breathing issues. Good luck!

I had my son at 36 weeks and he had to stay two extra days but they let me stay admitted with him

I had Dallas & 37 weeks and he went home with me. I had a c-section

My son was born at 36 weeks and 6 days and he went home with me. I was close with my pedi and she monitored him everyday because he had jaundice. If it would have been another pedi, he probably would have had to stay. Good Luck!!!

I was induced at 37.5 weeks and the next day we went home together! your odds are pretty much perfect that youre going to go home with your boy. Is he running bog or small? that could effect it. my son was 8lbs 4ozs aat 37.5lbs

Well, on friday I was 35 w 1 d & on the sonogram they said he was 5 lbs 4 oz. So I'm not sure if that's big or small. But they said his heart is good, all his organs are functioning well, his blood flow is good, & he's practicing his breathing alot. Can you tell from a sono if his lungs are developing well ? I hope we get to go home together !

not really, they can test your amniotic fluid to see if his lungs are develiped enough, it involves sticking a needle in your belly. Ive been told it doesnt hurt when done right, but there's no way Id let them do it to me lol, i hate needles!

Whoever says it doesn't hurt is crazy cause it does!
