first haircut?

When did you get your LO's hair cut for the first time? My guy is just a little past 1 year old but his hair is sort of out-of-control in my opinion. My husband doesn't seem bothered by it but it always gets food stuck in it and when he was sick it was sticking to his snotty nose--gross! But I'm worried that he won't be able to sit still for a haircut... he is a squirmer.   Should I wait, do it myself, or take him to a professional?

Yep, that's what I do!   I think I'm also just irritated by everyone, EVERYONE, thinking that he's a girl. *sigh*

I wish LO's hair will grow... he's almost two and still bald.
As soon as it does grow though, we are letting it grow long. SO's hair is to the middle of his back, mine is getting there.

My sons hair is just like that. I'm leaving it..i dont have the heart to cut it yet...plus everyone tells me once you cut it they look like boys instead of babies..im not ready to let go of my baby. lol

Isaac had an awful mullet, lol. We got his hair cut a month ago, I believe. Now that his mullet/almost rat tail is gone, I'm letting his hair grow back out. It should grow out evenly now with no mullet.
