losing baby at 19 weeks :(

My close friend is at the hospital from loosing her 1st baby at 19 weeks. i didn't talk to her long but she said the doctor told her that the baby was too small and her cervix couldn't hold the baby. Her water broke while she was peeing   I'm heart broken!
What happened and will she be able to have any kids? that's all the details I have

probably an incompatent cervix.. she proabbly can, may need a cerclage put in next time or something. im sorry for her loss : (

My BFF also lost her baby a few months ago. I know how you feel, like you wish you could do something to help them be happy agian.


Any way the good news about what happened to your friend is that now they know her cervix probably needs help to hold a baby in. So next time they will take steps to make sure her cervix stays closed.

They might make her have bed rest next time and lost and lots of check ups and might even sew her shut(in simple terms)

The good news is she will probably be able to have a healthy baby!

I am so sorry for her

I had that happen to me almost 2 years ago. I am currently pregnant again and almost 34 weeks. For me they still don't know what the cause of my water breaking was nor the fact that all my test came back okay. I am very sorry for your friend, it's a hard time. She is in my thoughts and prayers.
