Had my c-section 4days ago. My handsome baby boy was 9 pds and 21 ins. Recovering from 17 stitches and 30 staples now. Definitely worth it though. He slept 6 hrs straight last night. Very thankful for that.

Trying to breastfeed but he wont always latch on so we are supplementing with formula ): did anyone else have this problem.? He latches but then lets go like he doesnt want to suck too hard for it. Help anyone.

I have no advice on BF, I had problems too   Can you pump?

You need to keep at the breast feeding. The more you let him have a bottle the less likely he is to latch. A bottle is easier then the breast.

And if you really feel like you need to give him a bottle, do it after trying to nurse.

Im getting so overwhelmed when trying because he will start screaming and wants to eat but wont latch at all. I keep trying but im starting to lose the want to even try.
Yes I just have to go get a pump lol. Hoping to do thay soon.

I always try to nurse first!

The first couple of weeks is the hardest. If it's too much, don't feel bad to stop. You need to be happy too! But, if you really really want to nurse, don't give up. Don't supplement unless you absolutely have to. I always nurse on demand. Not on any schedule or anything like that.

I really want to nurse. The nurse told me not too feel bad if I stop because he got it atleast the first week but I already feel like bad mama supplementing formula.

Ask him to be checked for tongue tie, my son wouldnt latch when he did it hurt so bad i kept saying to the midwife about it and she brushed it off like i wasnt even trying it wasnt until my nipples bled that she looked and was like oh his tongue tie, they dont cut the tongue now unless it affects his speach so either grin and bear or bottle......Im not kidding that was her attitude!
