i had one, mine was similar in size, i had brown spotting on and off, and carried on like normal and was well, and at my apt at 19 weeks they said it had reabsored and was gone. and it was. if you arent bleeding i wouldnt worry too muchhonestly. alot of women have them and dont even know half the time : )

I had some hemorrhages on or by mine. They could never get good pics or give me a straight answer. I did bleed on and off though in the 1st tri. from it. My placenta completely abrupt at 32w 5d. My doc. was the same way, but I quit my job and took it easy. I also had a lot of pre term labor issues, but I had that with my first pregnancy also.

Yes she was fine. It also broke my water of course and they were set on keeping me pregnant until 34 weeks. That lasted a whole 2 days and I had her at 33w 0d. She only spent 14 days in the special care nursery.

i was on pelvic rest so no sex for about a mont.. but i carried my kids, i still worked at my job part time, on my feet. i did evrything normal.

Yep I had one this current pregnancy. I was diagnosed at 6 w. At 17w it was measuring 5cmx2cm and caused part of my placenta to lift. Everything appeared to have healed by 21w. I was on pelvic rest from 6-21w, modified bed rest from 17-21w and no lifting over 10 pounds. All restrictions except the lifting were lifted at 21w. However I was having frequent bleeds and spotting in between. Each doctor has different rules. I am now 36+5w with no baby coming anytime soon. Hematomas are pretty common and most heal by 20w especially since you have had no bleeding! :0)

No bleeding is usually a very good sign!! Bleeding can irritate the uterus and weaken the bag of water (from what I've heard.) So either the hematoma will bleed out and resolve or absorb in your body... which is what urs will probably do! Mine did both.

I know how u feel with being scared that its growing inside you.. I had the same fears. But be sure to stay off Google!!! I only read some scary stuff which made me freak out more... when in reality things usually turn out perfect <3

I was told the same thing at my 9 week ultrasound and freaked out because I had no idea what it meant for me or my baby and wound up pretty much losing my job as a can because I told them k couldn't do any heavy lifting so I would just talk to your Co workers about helping you lift anything over 30 pounds and you'll be fine mine was cleared up by 16 weeks
