I had one with Nat and it's how I lost the twin. But with Malachi it reabsorbed on his own.

He ended up swallowing the blood and having an echogenic bowel, but I carried on as normal, they never said not to, and I worked at the jail at that time. No problems! His went away by 20 weeks though.

ETA: obviously with Nat I started bleeding at 6 weeks which is when they found the twin which was obviously not alive, but she was fine despite all that, and her twin reabsorbed by 20 weeks.

Malachi I had no bleeding at all. Despite the hemorage they say I had.

I'm not sure if my mom had one of these with me or not, because it was way back when apparently. She went to the health department when she was pregnant with me and they didn't give ultrasounds way back when. But she did have a placental abruption. It ended up in an emergency c-section. She lost alot of blood and I swallowed alot, but we both are fine now! I'm 21 years old with two kids of my own. =D

They said his absorbed really fast. Like within a week.

But apparently he inhaled all the blood. Which is the only thing that could of caused the problems. He had no chromosomal abnormalities and he had no problems with his bowels, and he didn't have a virus.

The only other cause for his echogenic bowel was swallowing the blood.
