lo is 9 months and had his well visit today and he's been having noticeable Lazy eye moments especially when he's staring at something ..we got a referral to see a pediatric ophthalmologist for the 19th but I'm wondering if your LO had a lazy eye what was their course of treatment and how are they now? SO has family history of a lazy eye and its corrected with contacts. They'll probably give him a patch to try out or maybe Even glasses?

My little girl is being treated for esotropia and strabismus. They are now to the point of surgery. They tried atropine drops which made her use both eyes equally and prescribed glasses. Her glasses are helping the far sighted issue but not the esotropia.

My sister had patches but hers was really bad and needed surgery. I've had a slight case my whole life and it only became a problem as an adult while driving sometimes so I had surgery. DD has a slight case but she was so small the patches didn't fit but she ended up outgrowing it without intervention. They can also put prisms on glasses but that might just be for older people.
