Nope, nor do I have patience for people that put importance on a game over their spouse. Regardless of being a "gamer" the fact of the matter is it's just a game and he could've been a little more sensitive. Being a gamer isn't an excuse for being a jerk

I would have demanded his full attention! What a douche. I'm a gamer and married to one, I make DH pause it if I need to tell him something. STILL, even if he didn't pause the game at first, he should have when he saw what it was. Sorry OP, he's an ass.

He opened the box and talked to her about it. She's just upset he wasn't all "OMG YAY!" about it. And that is because it was bad timing. Plain and simple.

I can't vouch for this. If I'm playing and DH or DD need something, I pause. Maybe I'm not hardcore enough.

DH didn't say anything about me being pregnant and it hurt my feelings quite a bit. I had DD take him the test. He just smirked and handed it back to me.

I would not be okay with that either. It's a game, that's his child. Mad or not, he should have been more supportive, IMO.

I enjoy gaming, but there is never a time when SO can't come talk to me (mad or not) that I wouldn't pause it and give him five minutes of attention. If it was over something that big, I would turn the game off and give him my full attention for as long as he required it. I understand why you are sad about it. I would be devastated.
