Sure, when they're 18 (if they still live at home), or before in the case of a medical necessity.

Before then, as long as their grades are good, etc, it won't be a punishable offense really, but I'm not going to provide it, get high with them, let them use in my home, etc.

I smoke, I have a medical card, my stuff is always in the safe.

even if you dont let them they will eventually try it. my dad never let me and i smoked it. not like all the time but like 20 times in my life time. so i know as much as i am involved in their life and talk to them about it and i hope they are open with me if they decide to smoke.

I think 'letting' is different from them doing it and you dont know.

If I knew my son was puffing....smurf no I would not let it in my house, if I found it on him and I will be looking everywhere all the time I would take it. I would drive by his school and check on him, I would be so up his ass and in his face that he wouldnt find the time.

As an old pot head theres not many tricks or BS I would fall for. And with sports nut father we hope to divert our sons attention to more in life then being a teenage pot head.

If all else fails, we'll be sure to come up with another tactic, such as rehab.

You cant STOP your kids from doing something, but you dont have to LET it occur.

My mom never talked to me about drugs or sex, so I guess she failed lol. But I didn't have sex until I was almost 18, and I've never tried any drugs, not even cigarettes. I do like to drink though, but I didn't even do that until I was 18.

I smoke weed and if my kids wants to when their old then that is on them. I would rather them smoke weed than drink or do any other kinds of drugs.
I know smoking weed really helps me so... *shrugs* whatever happens.

If my kids want to use weed, I will encourage them to eat it rather than smoke it. But I would prefer if they didn't. However, I know I drank as a teen and if my kid was going to do one or the other I hope they choose pot.

I don't smoke weed anymore, but if they want to smoke when they're older I won't care.

I do occasionally, but as long as they are 18 I wouldn't really care. It will most likely be legal by then anyway. And how would you stop them? Not wanting a kid to do something will just push them further in that direction.

I don't smoke. My SO smoked for a while but quit a couple years ago.

I can't say whether or not I'd let my kids - it depends on if it's legal at the time, and if it is legal what are the laws pertaining to it (smoking age, etc).
To me it's just the same at alcohol. As long as it's illegal for them to drink it, I won't allow it. But once they are of age then have at it.

I mean I smoked for years and well my parents never knew I did in junior high or high scool and even as a young adult. And if they did they never said anything lol

But once a child is old enough to get their hands on it and go behinde your back, there really is not much you can do about it. KWIM?

I think that if my child was 16 and older had good grades and a job, and had no behavior issues etc......and smoked to relax a few times a week I would be ok with it. Any younger then that I will against it. But I am encouraging my oldest to stay away, she suffers from depression and I did as a kid too, and it honestly made me worse with anxiety attacks and so on.

My oldest is 10 now and is dead set against drug use of any kind. the school is really good on informing kids here about drugs and what they can cause etc.....and she is very open to asking me about weed and the affects of it etc.....

I would rather my kids smoke weed over cigarettes and drinking and using any other drugs tho.
