You don't need a cot, crib AND Moses basket.

I have a crib, Moses basket, and rock and play. I also will be having a c section, so I'd like to have something for baby in most general rooms I'll be in for the first few weeks. I'd rather be over prepared than under prepared.

I held my daughter when she was asleep downstairs and we co-sleep, so we never used our cot and only used the Moses basket once or twice.

We had the fisher price rocking chair that you could lay flat and she would sometimes sleep in that if I needed to eat lunch or something haha.
Also, dishwashers sterilise bottles so buying a steriliser can be a waste of money.

I suppose, it just seems like a colossal waste of money to me. But I held/wore her most of the time for the first few months anyway!

Yeah most people have all 3 of those things its saves things being carried from room to room and makes life easier in general i think

If you have a microwave get a microwave one, the electric ones are a waste of money.
Or you could Breastfeed, which is free.

I would encourage you just to try it, as colostrum is so important for a newborn to get. Obviously it's a personal choice but it is so beneficial.

I personally would have waited to get the swing and bouncer had I known what I know now... my lil guy hates both.. we co sleep though he does have a co sleeping bassinet which is bigger than a traditional bassinet. As long as you got a few outfits.. diapers.. wipes... bottle & formula (unless breastfeeding) maybe a pacifier.. you're all set. I have a changing table that I don't use.. but good thing it came as a changer/dresser combo. lol I only use the dresser part. :p
