My crazy 39 week appointment ):

So I went to my appointment today, doc listened to baby and than said I need to get the ultrasound machine and than goes on to tell me that the baby has little fluid, and cord compression and that their going to send me to l&d to see what's going on and possibly induce me same day because his heartbeat and fluids were off. So I'm like freaking out I go to l&d and get told my fluids are fine and baby isn't just great but is fantastic. So thank god but I have a crazy ob. And to top it off I haven't changed at all since last week. 1 cm, 50% :/ just happy baby boy is healthy

I'm glad it turned out to be nothing serious!

That's just about my worst fear in all this, conflicting information! I really am relying on the knowledge and competency of my doctors as this is my first so if I started receiving conflicting advice I would be freaking out!!!!!

Thankfully everything is ok... and hey, we have hormones as an excuse if you wanted to go tell your OB he/she is a TWAT!!!! LOL

Omg!!! I would be pissed!!!! What Dr told you that? ...I'm aboard Camp Pen as well!!!!! Glad everything is good though!!! Got to love naval hospitals!!!

Dell lol in Ob, it was scary but hey on the bright side at least I go to see baby an make sure everything is ok.

im 38 weeks an they want to induce me because there worried my body will be stressed an baby as well plus her weight if i go past 40 weeks ....im not to found of it but if it means baby health ill do anything.....i just pray to God it doesnt end up in a c section because i have no family living near me ...but

Omg! Lt Dell... That's who I see! Hmmmm... Does she have you on evening primrose oil? She had me start it this week...I'm 37 weeks 40% and 2cm...

Nope she hasn't said ): what is that? I have an appointment Monday and that is two days before my due date so I'm guessing they'll schedule an induction for some point after my due date since I'm not progressing very well. Do you know how she feels about inductions? I really don't want to go to 42 weeks an your so lucky lol I'm only 1cm and 50% effaced

I asked her what I could do to move things along....she said evening primrose oil( 500mg capsules) take 2by mouth and insert 2 as far up the whoo haa as you can reach....it helps soften the cervix!!!.... I could only find the 1000mg ...target and trader joes has it.... And sprouts has the organic red raspberry leaves tea...it helps "focus" the contractions and strengthen the uterus.... She just said for every cup you drink ...drink 8oz of water....it won't induce labor...but it will help!! Not sure about how she feels on induction...but I know she said she wouldn't strip my membranes until 39 weeks...even though the posters in the waiting room say 38!!!

Wow I will ask her about that at my next appointment. I always look at that bulletin board and sometimes it seems as if they don't even go by that. I had my 38 week appointment and figured I'd be seen 2 weeks later on my due date but now it's weekly and that board doesn't say that at all lol.

Yeah...non of my appointments went like they say!!!! ...def ask her about it! She is a midwife and does stuff kinda old school... Let me know how it goes! So I know what to expect if I'm overdue!! My daughter was induced at 42 weeks:/
