contractions?

So I had my doctors appointment today and everything was fine tell he went to listen to the heart beat, and then it was low so my Dr. Sent me to l&d to be monitored for a little and the nurse came back in and was looking at three screen and kept looking at me funny, and finally said he just has a heartbeat that is the rate of what a baby girlsbis but he is fine and healthy, then she was like are you feeling anything? And I said no and she looked at me strange and finally said did your doctor check you? And I said no and she replied hunny your having contractions and by what my monitor is showing you should really be feeling these. But I only felt greyson move and turn? I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow but is this normal?

with my 1st daughter, I was in active labor and not feeling the contractions at all. I didn't start feeling them until they gave me pitocin once my water broke

There is no difference between a girl's heartbeat and a boy's, FYI.
They were probably just Braxton hicks contractions, which some women don't feel. However you might be mistaking the contractions for baby stretching or turning.

The nurse said that boys heart beats are a little higher generally or faster? But that's also one if the old wives tales. But the nurse said they were contractions is what was showing up on the monitor that was attached to 2 round monitors that were placed on my stomach so that's what was confusing me because I could feel greyson move but we watched the monitors and they went when the "contractions" were
