Bottle help!

posted 4th Dec
So DD is 10 weeks old on Thursday. She would use the Similac Simplysmart bottles and I was getting tired of those so I switched her over to Tommee Tippee and she has been taking them really well. The set I bought came with the standard 0 months + nipple on them.

Well I noticed when she's eating, the nipple is like sucked in. Like it almost fully goes inside the bottle. The nipples have this little vent on the side of them so I'm not sure if it's air, or if the flow is too slow for her. Should I try and up it to the next level flow nipple? Or do you think it's just the bottles. It's the Tomme Tippee closer to nature set.

Make sure the vent opens. I know when I first got my Tommee tippee bottles I had to pinch the vent to make sure they opened.
Usually though that's a sign they're sucking hard and need to go up a size. Try size 2. You can get vari flow teats from Tommee tippee too, they're suitable for all ages as they adjust to the strength of the suck.

Those bottles have the air hole to prevent gassyness and such. I think it being sucked inward is caused by that bc thats what my friends son uses and the same thing happens.

That usually means they need to go up a teat size as the baby is sucking too hard for the milk flow.

I LOVE the bottles and I've read nothing but good reviews so I know it's probably the size of the nipple. I will go get her the next size up. :] I think I'll try the vari flow first as to not overwhelm her with such a strong flow and go from there. Thanks for all of your help!!!

I'll pinch the vent and make sure it's open too. :]]

The vari flow teats nipple is a little bigger than the normal teats so she may not like it or she may prefere it. Try with the size up first, if no luck use the vari flow.
