Ovarian cyst?

I went for my first check up today and the first thing they seen on the ultrasound besides my uterus was a large cyst. It is measuring 7 cm right now and I'm 9 weeks and 5 days. They said they were going to keep a close eye on it and bring me back in 3 weeks for another ultrasound. I researched and found that they will operate around 14-16 weeks if the cyst continues to grow? Has anyone else had this problem? They were amazed I wasn't in any pain. I have noticed some very minimal cramping on the left side which is the side it's on.

I have a 7cm on the left ovary and a 4.3cm one on the right. They dont like to operate unless is growing at a fast steady pace due to the risks. Your very lucky because mine causes me a smurf load of pain.

Yes i had a problem like this when i was pregnant with my daughter. I had horrible pain on one side so i went to the ER, they did an u/s and determined i was having an ectopic pregnancy. So they did surgery to "Remove" it, cut me open and found out it was just a cyst. It was the Corpus Luteum cyst every Woman gets it when they are pregnant it produces the hormones to keep the baby growing before the placenta can take over at 12 weeks. Mine went away when i hit the second trimester.

Watch for a fever, you might get swelling, pain in that area and it might get really hot in that area as well. it can go good, burst and pass, or it can continue growing where they will remove it. I never had one that got to the point of needing to be removed so I can't help ya or give advice on that. If you do start getting really bad sharp pain, go to the E.R.

Yes, I've had 3 corpus luteum cysts between my 2 pregnancies (this pregnancy I ovulated twice, so had 2). Both times I experienced the cramping until I hit the 2nd trimester & they went away on their own.

I have 2 also this time. And I had 2 with my last pregnancy. The other one I have now is so tiny compared to the 7 cm.

I had one but it resolved itself. I was in a lot of pain with mine though. I had U/S every 3 weeks until it was "gone"
