my little boy will be one month on the 8th! he still doesnt know day from night fully....what are some methods that worked to get your infant(s) to sleep at night time and be more awake during the day time?

Keeping him awake longer and shorter naps throughout the day. And really fill him up around 8 or 9

Keep it bright during the day even during nap time and when it gets close to bed time feed him a lot and give him a bath with that night time bath stuff and keep the lights dimmed down. I did it with both of my kids and it worked great. Good luck!

wherever he sleeps during the day keep the room as bright as you can. At night give him a nice warm bath and feed him as much as he will eat. he will start switching soon.

dd started sleeping about 6 hours at night at 1 month. then started not waking at all at 2 months i read somewhere that most babies dont until there 3-4 months and sleeping though the night is only considered to be a 6 hour sleep. we just started putting her in her swing for sleeping at night because of her relux and her startle relfex. she is now 4 months and for 2 months has been sleeping from 9pm to about 7am. its all about consistency. you your self should put her to bed and go to bed the same time everynight... one hour difference makes a huge difference for them. also waking up at the same time. LO will eventually fall into your pattern. I think one month is a little soon to expect to sleep though the night but its never too soon to work on a pattern/schedule. For naps, i(i read and worked for us) to never let LO nap where she sleeps for bed. that way they start to understand bed is for bed not naps. dont tip toes around when LO is sleeping and keep cutains open or lights on during the day. before moving her to the swing it helped to have a fan running or sounds of the earth cd. she hated quiet. but before the swing she still slept in her bassinet from 10pm to 4am then 5am to 10am.

Our pedi told us that when the baby wakes at night keep it dark I agree that is best and to not talk to the baby that way he doesn't think its time to get up and play. My son is 7 wks and im a pro at changing diapers in the dark. The not talking is super hard but it does work he now sleeps 7-8 hrs at night and 2 naps during the day it does help. Good luck!!
