Uhhh is this right? (Uncirced Question)

I was at the pediatrician today with my two month old son and he is uncircumcised. The doctor checked his penis and then he pulled the foreskin down and looked at it! He then told me that I need to be pulling it back every once in a while to help it separate!

I was shocked because I was pretty sure that you are not supposed to do that and that you are just supposed to clean it like you would a finger until it separates on it's own.

I am a little worried and pretty pissed off..but I want to know if it's right for me to be or if I'm overreacting?

As far as i know he shouldn't be pulling it back.

The foreskin should never be tugged or pulled back.

No you are not supposed to pull it back, I'd be pissed. It is painful for them and can cause problems

Uhm... Wth? The only person who should be retracting the foreskin is the owner if that foreskin. I swear, western medicine acts like our bodies are incapable of caring for themselves without medical intervention. Ugh!

My two boys are circumsized, but I know thay if they are not circumsized you are supposed to leave it alone.

That is VERY wrong!
The child will do it on their own when they are older, normally not until after 3 and most of the time not fully until they hit puberty!! Do NOT let ANYONE pull the foreskin back!

It shouldn't retract and you shouldn't attempt to retract it  
Did he cry or anything? I though it was too tight to be pulled back and would hurt them.

Wrong! Is he an old pediatrician?

You should find a pedi who either has a child who is uncircd or knows a little more about it.

Omg! What do I do? Should I email the clinic and tell them about it? I've never had a pedi even touch his penis until today...and he was pretty rough! I was shocked but it was over before I could even stop him from doing it.

God I'm so smurfing pissed now..
He's not our normal pedi but they are usually really good there, they've never done that before!
