Carseat on plane help!!!!

Does anyone know how you get a carseat on a plane? Does it have to be in a carseat bag? Or does it just get check in under the plane?

I knw nothing expect that us airways is free of charge for his carseat to travel.

DO not check a carseat! That makes it considered crashed. Just buy another plane ticket and take it on with you.

take it to the gate, if there's extra seats you can take it on. ive always checked mine at the ticket counter though.

You can bring it with you to the gate. They can do plane side pick up and drop off. Right as you get on the plane leave it as you get off it will be in the same area.

Thanks so much! Glad to know Ive been on planes before and seen people do that I just wasnt sure if they still did that.

People still do it but it's too risky. That's a safety device for your child in a collision. If you saw how they handle luggage you wouldn't question it! Lol

My car seat is HUGE! its a convertible car seat with a base. it is very heavy.

What seat is it? If you search amazon there are a lot of rolling car seat carriers. Some may be universal

Last time I went, I bungeed it to the handle of my suitcase.

Funny story I wont be gone that long I'm flying out to get our new car in Chicago so i will only have a carry on bag for the trip there. and maybe one day in Chicago. But I guess I could always ask that cart guy who drivers around the airport...haha
and my carseat is a Graco Smart Seat All-in-One Convertible Car Seat - Larkin

Oh yeah wow that's a beast. I'd look up on Google how that fits in plane seats...if I were you I'd just buy a cheap $40 scenera to use for the flight.

OP your car seat is NOT FAA approved for use on an airplane. So you'll have to purchase a different seat.
