Bath after D&C?
posted 4th Dec
D&C yesterday afternoon. Very minimal bleeding today and just light pink. The nurse in the recovery room said it should be fine, but I don't know whether to trust her or not. Think its safe?

I wouldn't because you are still dilated. It's always on my discharge sheet not to take a bath for two weeks. I'm surprised your nurse ok'd it.

Thank you so much. I'm still pretty numb.
I love baths and think a hot one may help the cramping.

I waited about a week after my d&c for a bath. But for cramping I used a warm wash cloth on my belly.

Maybe just sitting down in the tub and letting the warm shower fall down on you?
That's what I like to do when I don't feel good.

After I gave birth I was told my numerous midwives to have baths rather than showers. I'm sure it would be fine, just don't use any bath salts/bubbles as it could cause infection/irritation.
