Just got back

From my 36 week appointment. Tested for Strep B & got an ultrasound of my little girl. I know the ultrasound isn't dead on about her weight but is 5lbs 1oz measuring alright for me having 4 weeks until my due date? Seems small to me but doctor wasn't worried at all. First time mom here, just need some reassurance. Lol.

Ultrasounds can be off by up to 2 pounds either way. Id say that as long as your doctor isnt worried, everything should be fine  

Last week at my ultrasound Silas was measuring 7 pounds, 12 ounces which i thought was way too big for 37 weeks, but it can be off so i wont rly know until hes born.

Measurements can be off by two pounds either way. Sounds about right, probably average to me.

That sounds right, arent they suppose to gain a 1/2 lb. each week at that point? So if that happens your baby will be 7 lbs by week 40. My baby was 5 lb 12 oz. born at 37 weeks and 4 days. So it seems fine to me!

I wouldnt worry measurements can be off. My daughter was born at 37 weeks almost 38 and was only 6 pounds 13 oz. My son was only 7 pounds 11 oz. Not everyone has big babis.

My daughter was born at 36+3 and was 5lbs 3oz.

Thank you ladies. I just reallly wanna be able to take her home when i have her, no nicu time. I just wanted to make sure she wasn't tooooo light. & i am aware that u/s can be up to 2 lbs off - give or take.

I wouldnt worry about it too much. If the doctor wasnt worried then your in safe zone for weight. I'd only worry if the doctor gives you a reason he worried.

He expressed no worry at all.
