In labor at 38 weeks

posted 4th Dec
And scared out of my mind! These contractions are making me feel like death and if this nurse checks my cervix one more time I might punch her!!! How long were you guys in labor for? And was there any anxiety or feelings of sadness that pregnancy was about to end?

Oh sorry, I didn't clarify lol. I'm in labor and delivery right now and they decided to keep me. I lost my mucus plug on Sunday but my water hasn't broken.

I have a feeling that ill miss being pregnant too even though I've been miserable 90% of the time. It's bittersweet now.

Good luck! I was excited...but I was induced both times as well! With my second baby I was so happy that I wasn't going to be pregnant anymore because I was in horrible pain the entire time lol. But yeah just think..you will be meeting your little one sooner than later   ...how far dilated are you?

2nd was 7 1/2 hours or so from start of induction to having him.
3rd was 9 hours from the time my water broke naturally, to having her.

Wait til after you have the baby and they push super hard on your belly every 15 min like they are trying to grind your insides with your hand...that pain is even worse than checking your cervix. I actually grabbed the nurses arm when she was pushing on my belly :/ She had to tell me to take my hand off her. It jurt soooo bad.

Now now..no need to scare her LOL. But yes...that part does suck. But you soon forget the pain.
