congested

My 3 month old son has been congested since then day he was born and doesnt seem to breathe out of his nose very well. The doctor keeps telling me he just has allergies and theres nothing i can do for him. I just dont think allergies would last this long and i worry because he was born with his face squished against my pelvis and the cord wrapped around his neck. i am just worried something could be wrong with him. Any other moms child been congested for a long period of time like this?

Most newborns are congested for months after being born, its quite common and completely normal.
Try getting a humidifier.
