Which BC do you recommend?

Please share which bc you like and why. I seriously don't know which one to get after this baby.

But I don't know which one.

I've only tried ortho tri cyclen and it gave me the worst mood swings.

I got a tubal, it's the best thing evvuuurrrr. lol.
Probably much more permanent than what you are looking for.

I was on Yaz for years but I don't know if doctors prescribe that one any more. Right now I've got Mirena. Some cramping on and off occasionally but no major complaints otherwise.

If I had to go back to any birth control (I've tried 4 pills, the shot, the ring and an IUD))
I'd definitely choose Nuvaring again

I had the Depo and it majorly sucked. I got off of it after only one shot and would never recommend it to anyone. Right now I have the Paragard IUD and so far there has been no side effects since I got it 3 months ago. However, I have been bleeding since insertion so I am most likely getting it taken out and going back on the pill. Before I had my last baby I was on a generic brand of the pill called Aviane and never had any problems with it.

I on mirena and i LOVE it. I have virtually no period (I have light spotting for a couple days a month). No major hormonal issues, mood swings and headaches n such. No cramping, I barely even know it's there.
I know it doesn't work for everyone, but it works very well for me and I am very happy with it.

I got pregnant on the Nuva Ring! Yay me. lol

Well dh doesn't want anymore kids but I am not ready to have a tubal.

I am worried about mood swings on bc. Since im already kind of a moody person. I thought about trying the Mirena but soo many people seem to have horror stories.

What about him getting snipped? lol. Thats what my DH will do once we are for sure done having kids.

copper no hormones you dont have to worry about forgetting to take it you can still use tampons doesnt mess with your period

He claims thats what he's going to do. But I wanted to have a back up plan in case he doesn't go through with it.

I have Mirena and I love it...I had some bleeding for the first few weeks from it which they said is normal and some cramping at first as well..I have had it for 5 months now and love love love it no periods no mood swings no weight gain and the best part is I dont have to remember to take a pill everyday and I got prego with my son on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo (sp?) even though I took that dang thing everyday lol but no complaints on mirena here

Understandable. If he does get it done they will recommend you use another form of bc/protection until like 3 months afterward to be on the safe side anyway.

the copper is the nonhormonal ive also heard horror storries but there risks with all BC

I think he will go through with it. He was pushing me to get my tubes tied, but I feel he can do something for a change. I have the period, and go through labor and Im not having a c-section so I don't want anymore pain then I will already have.
