Cord stump

Man, my newborn's cord stump stinks.   It isn't red or oozing or anything, so I don't think it's infected.. and it's barely hanging on by a thread.

I don't remember my daughter's ever smelling. Is this normal?

Both my kids' smelled too. My sons was fine but my daughter's was bad. It fell of too fast and bled lightly non stop for 6 weeks after. I would have to clean the dried blood out with a wet q tip twice a day. It was such a pain in the ass.

Normal... But if it's really just hanging there, a bath might loosen it enough to fall off.
