day 3 of birth control pills

so yesterday i had sex and my b/f did cum in me... and im on bc my 3rd day......im just scraed ima get pregnant.... are bc pills effective immediately??? or what?!?!?!

the pill isnt really affective until about a month

One week at the minimum. You should take Plan B

did u switch from another form of birthcontrol? did u start the pill while u were on your period? there r alot of factors to the effectiveness of starting bc.

if this is your first birth control ever i would go take plan b because it is deff not affective at this point

your dr shouldve told u , u shouldnt start bc in the middle of your cycle....in that case u r supposed 2 use a barrier form of bc for 2wks untill the pills have time to regulate your system.

my dr just handed me the pills and didnt tell me smurf

all of the instructions are in the info packet that came w/the pills. is it a regular combined type pill or progestrone only (mini pill)? how long is your cycle usually?

I can't believe your doctor or whoever gave you the pill didn't tell you when it would start taking effect. My doctors have always told me that kind of stuff and if they don't the pharmacy does.
