Chocolate Milk?
posted 4th Dec
Did you let your tot's have it?
If so the moment you did, did they stop drinking regular milk?
My son will drink regular milk just fine and seems to like it a lot. I don't think I'll ever introduce him to chocolate milk because i'd be afraid that's all he'd want.
Please share your thoughts on the matter.

Dd drinks both just fine. Chocolate milk is like a special thing. Or we use the Visalus chocolate packets to make it for her since those are not suavely and only 4 calories.

i havn't had my first baby yet, but if it helps when I was little I had chocolate milk and HATED it. I always preferred regular milk.

LO has had chocolate milk once and didn't seem to care too much when he had to drink regular again. He's pretty laid back, though.

My daughter loves chocolate milk but it's a treat. She drinks regular milk usually.

Oh when we get it we get the 1% milk so it's not as fatty.

I guess a lot of kids i have been around preferred the chocolate over the regular, and for that I'm skeptical about ever giving it to my son. I mean I didnt plan on doing it any time soon but in the future. He seems to like regular milk just fine so I dont really see the point in trying to give him chocolate milk. I'm just afraid he will like it better and want nothing to do with regular milk.

I have 2 girls and they are both different on the matter. I can't remember when I introduced chocolate milk to them but my 5 year old will not drink regular milk anymore. If I give it to her it will just sit there and she will not drink it. My youngest will still drink white milk but she prefers chocolate. I admit I give them chocolate milk quite a bit because I know milks important and their dr. and dentist said it's better they have chocolate than none at all. Plus you can control how much chocolate goes in it. And I normally buy Ovaltine, I'm thinking about not giving my baby chocolate milk for a long time when she's old enough to start drinking milk because I don't want her to get used to it.

My dd is a sweet tooth like her dad an she still likes white milk. But yeah I think it was a long time before we gave her choco milk. I don't remember when exactly. But I am not a sweet tooth and don't like choco milk. But I don't really like chocolate at all.

DS doesn't usually drink white milk anymore unless it out of his "big boy cup" (a regular kids glass). He will drink chocolate milk on occassion, but doesn't really act like he cares for it that much. He'll sip on it for a while.
