So I'm not saying this to be rude but they also left you alone to where you got your girlfriend pregnant and skipped a ton of school so if anything, you are just reassuring me that I would be making the right choice if I ever choose to spy on my kids lol

Yeah but when I say spy I don't just mean computer or phone. I have no issues following her to see if she really is where she should be. And I'm sure you texted or Fb messaged your gf plans to meet up alone so you were able to have sex, so going through computer/phone would help.

Every post of his screams immaturity. He has a LOT of growing up to do, and I hope he does it soon for the sake of his child. Seriously, "Ill just delete the history and they wont find anything" crap is idiotic.
Have your own laptop? That I bet your parents paid for. I bet they pay for the internet too. And they pay for the electricity to power that precious laptop. You have a LOT of growing up to do.

It just depends on the child. If my kid has never given me a reason to question them, then I wouldn't- BUT, we also don't do things the same in our house as other people do. We don't allow computers with internet access in bedrooms. WE don't even have a computer in our bedroom, there will be a family / community area where they will be allowed to use the internet. I wouldn't read their emails or texts messages, though - but again, we don't plan on just handing over a cell phone when they turn 10, either, like a lot of other people do.

No, I would not. My parents did it to me and I hated it. They never sat down to ask me anything, instead they would go through my computer or my journal. I began getting grounded for unknown reasons all the time. As it turned it out I was getting grounded for venting. The only time I could imagine myself spying on my child is if I believed they were talking to a perv online.
