Salt Dough Hand Ornament.

Does anyone know what type of paint I would buy for this both for the color paint and the shiny coating? I know when I was taking ceramics we used paint that was put on before firing not after.

Probably ceramic paint I would assume. And I know what you're talking about for the clear coat that you fire in the kiln that makes the ceramic all glossy. Maybe the craft isle at the store just look around and see what where is.

they have ceramic paint at joanns and michaels that dries like that. That is what we used.
They use it for the little figures you can buy to paint.

is this recipe for just one ornament? trying to figure out how much supplies i need to buy for multiple ornaments.

Probably depending on the kids ages maybe 2. I doubled it for my 4 yr olds and got 2-3. Also just add most but not all of your water at first and mix it and add more as needed cause sometimes mine was too dry and sometimes too wet. So I just added little bits as needed.
