I was never told that. Maybe they're concerned of them sleeping with it and causing tooth rot like can ahole. With a bottle? My dd couldn't figure out how to drink from
A sippy. We got the silicone top ones and see just chewed on it. Then we got a hard spout and she grinded her teeth on it. So we found these gerber ones that were a hard rubber and she was able to use those ok. But that wasn't until like 9+ mos. but yeah it doesn't hurt I try the sippy so u can get out of the house for a bit. And it doesnt mean u have to stop Bfing either

My ped and wic nurse both told me I could pump and put it into a sippy for my daughter at 6 months. she is almost 8 months now and still doesn't care for her sippy but will use it some

I didn't read all the commets you were given way to many. I saw you ask why it was better to ween when bottle vs breast. The answer is the nipples. The rubber nipple is bad for a baby's growing teeth.
