non hormonal IUD.. anyone had one?

Opinions? Experiences? Etc.?

I have the paragard and I absolutely love it! The first couple months kind of sucked because the cramping and heaviness increase, but im now on my 5 cycle since getting it placed, and its not too bad anymore. Better than another baby (;

Oh, plus there is no crazy side effects from the hormones....huge plus for me!

i had tried the paraguard twice...1st time i had it removed after 6mo cause i needed bc pills to regulate my cycle due to heavy/irregular periods and insurance wouldnt cover them while i had the iud....after my 5th child i tried it again for about 9mo untill i experience a m/c and my doctor told me since there are no hormones to try to prevent ovulation that its very likeley that ''failed implations'' were what was causing my heavy irregular ''periods''.....so i went on line to read all the info on paraguard and realized my dr was probably right. Since the pamphlet in the dr office just gives a generic overview of the iud and tells patients to read the product info that comes w/the iud most people dont get all the proper info. Since a dr inserts the iud u never get to see the manufactor info unless u specifically ask for it or look it up.
