Mineral water is carbonated. You can try milk but it could make it worse. Hot chocolate gets rid of heartburn for me. As for something you can drink in place of water for the day...I haven't found anything.

OH i didnt know it was carbonated. Ive been looking up some stuff to try to help it but so far it says no caffeinated or carbonated drinks. and only lowfat milk. but it says no chocolate because chocolate can aggrivated it. It's driving me CRAZY waking up every night lol.

there really isnt much you can do because your stomach is all pushed up in your chest making it worse. i drank egg nog at this time of year, it was thick and sorta helped. i also popped tums like it was nothing

i know it wont go away completely until after I have the baby, im just trying to find ways to ease the pain a little. I took 2 zantac yesterday and prolly popped enough tums to turn me into one lol.

milk CAN be helpful if it is no-fat, it is the fat in milk that makes reflux worse. But for both my pregnancies nothing really worked. I was on prescription meds for my reflux and acid. Then switched to zantac the later into pregnancy I got, remind me I have to buy more today I only have 2 left   and I take gaviscon tablets to chew when it gets bad, 2 at bedtime especially and I sleep elevated. All food aggrevates mine   I'm so blessed but I only have a few more weeks to go and then I can eat and food will taste good again, and I won't have to puke everything up YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE and again to the girl who can drink hot chocolate... I hate you   that is my favourite and it is torture!!! he he

Its not a drink but my grandma has 6 kids and swears by milk of magnesia. She said she kept it by her bed all the time. Maybe you could try that?

Be warned though, that's what we give our patients as a laxative.
