Maybe that's part of the high calorie formula as well.

you're missing my point. Ounces isn't a normal or not normal. A bigger baby can lose more ounces and still be fine... a smaller baby can lose less.. there's less body fat to lose and be ok.

This! Ds had feeding problems and took over a half hour for a 2oz bottle so he was burning more calories feeding than he was getting from the food. The dr put him on high calorie formula

i had one at 35 weeks and barey considered her a preemie. 37 weeks is term and seeings how he was 8 lbs could of even been further along without you knowing

I had my kids at 35w5d, 35w0d, and 37w3d. They ALL weighed at least 6 lbs, 6lbs5, 6lbs0, and 6lbs6. All were perfectly healthy. The hospital didn't do a carseat test or anything on any of them. They all did perfectly well, but my son had trouble regulating his body temp so they kept him an extra night, but not in the NICU or anything.

seriously.. to not do a carseat trial on a 35 weeker is dangerous

read the rest of the thread. Baby wasn't quite 37 weeks... and has issues

Had my son at 35 weeks 6lbs1oz 19 1/2in long. I thought 37 was term. My 35 weeker just barely fell in the preemie catagorie. Hope you LO is doing well that's all that matters
