An induction date is only set due to the fact that my original due date is actual christmas day. we all know how hospitals can be on christmas. and she's ahead of schedule when it comes to development. I highly doubt my doctor would put me or my child at risk for anything that may not be needed. shes delivered thousands of babies and everything points to a healthy baby.

Do not induce for Christmas! I'm serious! I was induced because I had to be or my baby would have died. It sucked and you cannot labor the way you want to. Wait it out if I could have I would have. I was devastated that I couldn't labor in the tub or walk around or rock in a chair or bounce ony exercise ball. Your chances of a csection are higher if you are induced which is what I was trying to avoid.

That's a silly reason to be induced. Sounds like you fell prey to one of the major reasons doctors induce, now: convenience. I'm sure your doc wants to spend Christmas with their family, and there's nothing wrong with that, but if you want a smurffy holiday season, a failed induction and C-Section will certainly do that for you.

I make triple time on christmas...... I'm happy...and doing my best... why not? they're sure paying me enough!

I was in the hospital on thanksgiving and I kept appologizing and they just said "oh don't feel bad. Things dont stop just because it's a holiday. When we take the job we know what it entails." that made me feel so much better.

I have nurses and other health professionals in my family. You absolutely can not do that kind of work unless you absolutely love knowing you're helping people. I bet that they were happy they were able to be there and make you feel better when you're supposed to be with family!
