2 questions.

hey guys. i have a question. i'm about 38 weeks. and i went in to my doctors, and my baby has always masured about a inch "too big." when they would measre me. but today i went in and he had jumped 4 over. they are making me g have another ultra sound on friday. has anyone experienced this?
they said it could be to much fluid, or just my baby boy is too big. but i never knew the date of my missed period so my mom thinks they got my due date wrong and im a week further. but my doctor's are not the brightest. she also said there's a chance they might try and enduce me. what exactly do they do for enducement and is that a possible factor? thanks guys.

Could just be baby in a bad position too. I measure 4 weeks ahead one weeks and right on schedule two weeks later. Ultrasound weights can be off by a few pounds. If you had an ultrasound in your first trimester it is the most accurate as far as dating the pregnancy. They might try to induce but you can refuse also. No reason to be induced just because of a possible big baby. Women have been told the baby is 10lbs and its born and is only 6 or 7.

They could very easily have their dates off. My sister had to much fluid and baby measured big. She was told he would be huge! Her huge baby was only 6 lbs 14 oz. they gave her an ultrasound every week to monitor her fluid up till she delivered. I had the opposite problem to little fluid. I was induced. It wasn't that bad. I had an pitocin thru an iv and a foley bulb inserted vaginally to dialate me to like a 4. That hurt but I was ok with it because it wasn't drugs. After the foley bulb popped out things went really fast. I delivered vaginally after 3 hours of pushing. It wasn't that bad. My baby came exactly the way she needed to.

I did ! It came back on the ultrasound that He was 4 weeks ahead of me , so they gave me a planned c-section @ 38 weeks. he came out weighing 9lbs 3oz..  

yeah, but i am rather big, but i'm just all belly. i wa just curious as to what others had to say about it. and if they had the problem to know a little more. because my doctor really couldn't say much. i'm a first timer and i'm only 16 so i don't know much bout this at all. and my mom yells at my doctor saying she refuses to let me go through a natural birth with "huge" baby because of wat she went through. but she got allmad and couldn't tell me much , either. she had not enough fluids. i'm due the 19th and everyone says how they think the ue dae's wrong. but it might as well could be . but i wanted to go in there with a little bit of an dea.

that's onef the things i was worried/ concerned about. because if i went in there and they said they wanted to enduce me i'd be clueless. so i wanted to know the details.
