Moving to Arizona....

Me and my family live in the bay area in California but My husband recently got 2 jobs offers in Arizona.. So we're moving in March!! Is there any moms on here that live in Arizona?? What are some good areas to live? I am looking to get an apartment or town house for now just in case it doesn't work out.. Are their jobs in the medical field out there? Any tips?? Any areas to stay away from?? Fill me in!! I don't want to end up in a bad area! Thanks guys!!

How funny we moved 2 years ago from AZ to the Bay area. I was born and raised there. I love the east valley (chandler, mesa,gilbert) It really depends on where you are working as to where you might want to live. Cost of living is soooo much cheaper. My best friends rents a 4 bedroom with loft 2.5 bath townhome for $1400 a month.

My husband's brother lives in Chandler and Holy crap that is cheap! We live in El Sobrante right now and we're paying 1550 for a 2 bedroom townhouse!! How do you like the whether? I'm just worried that I won't be able to find a job as quick.. I'm in the medical field and I know its very competitive out here in the Bay Area.. Would you say it was the same out there?

I dont know anyone in the medical field so I cant speak to that. The weather is well hot. I just went back the 24-26 and was dying during the day. The summers are killer there is no getting used to that you just learn to deal and accept that its life.

Oh i live in the bay area now. I doubt we will ever move back to AZ.

Oh I misread your post. I thought you said you moved to Arizona 2 years ago. We have to wait until March to move because thats when our lease ends but I'm getting iffy more and more each day. The bay areas my home I can't even imagine living anywhere else but everyone keeps telling me its so cheap out there in AZ. Is the malls good out there? Any good places to take kids?

Eh the malls dont seem much different then the ones ive been to out here. Lots of parks, the zoo, botanical gardens, pools, ect for kids. I miss AZ sometimes my family and some of DH's family are there. As well as all my friends.

Woo hop AZ is the smurf!! East valley is definitely amazing. Up north are smaller places like flagstaff, it snows there. Yuck. I live in tucson right now, it's not too bad on the east or north areas.
