Don't get worked up. One of my friends on here was able to wait it out after her water broke. She didn't deliver until a week or maybe even more after her water broke. Just tell the hospital you don't want them to check you b/c you don't want to risk exposing baby to too many germs.

I was able to have a vbac. My water broke but I wasn't having any contractions. Good luck just dont stress yourself out about it

and also OP, with my daughter I thought I was contracting every 20-30 minutes, and the nurse at L&D told me I was having them every 2-3 minutes. So it may be possible that you're just not feeling them.

Curious, when your water breaks, does it feel like you need to pee? Or does it all of a sudden just happen? Do you have any control over it like when u need to pee and can kind of hold it for a little bit or not? (I know nothing about it except what u see in moves, where the lady is standing over a puddle and says her water just broke.)

No. It just happens. There is no holding it lol.

Ok, I wasn't sure. The thought of my waterbreaking kind of scares me and makes me feel embarassed. Cause it will look like I peed myself. And I'm worried it will happen at work and then customers and coworkers and everyone will see.

It is going to happen wherever and whenever it decides to break. Nobody will judge..it is normal. Luckily mine broke at home though. I had some friends who broke in public. People (some not all) panic thinking baby is coming out then.. and just call maintenance to clean up the water.....My friends said it was not embarrassing ...it was actually exciting...and kinda a thrill rush.

Mine broke at home finally fell asleep and woke up to a jolt feeling of a balloon popping down there got up really fast and it was a huge gush!
