Well, um. I....don't understand  

Being engaged is having the intent to marry.... Granted you can be engaged for 20 years before you make that happen. But, still.
Kind of defeats the purpose if you aren't going to get married  

We got engaged like 4 years ago been together for 8 and I don't think we are actually ever gonna get married. I do want to but im not like those gorls who always have dreamed about their wedding day. l and he doesn't want to get married I think it's because both our parents are divorced that we don't want to go thought that and put our kids through hell of we end up splitting up. We are fine the way we are and if something happens then we go our separate ways without paper work and drama you know. Plus it will be more expensive to get a divorce then to actually get married lol

We both are legally married but to someone else. He will never get a divorce, neither will i.

I married LOs father for a reason... And there has to be some reason for him not to of filed already right?
I paid to marry LOs dad, he pays for divorce.

Idk whats going on with SOs divorce.

Kinda hard to marry someone when im married & he is too.
But yes he knows that if we both get divorced tomarrow.. I would NEVER remarry again

Then, how'd you get engaged? Doesn't that usually involve the whole getting down on one knee, "will you marry me?" sort of ordeal...? And you were just like "no, gimme that ring, though"?

He mentioned marriage, i said maybe.. Maybe yes maybe no. He told me to pick out a ring, i did. Few weeks later he calls on his way home from work..i gotcha something...ok... Wasnt really expecting a ring.. Comes home with a ring. He gave it to me.

As time went on.. We talked again about marriage, i decided i wouldnt remarry.. I still have the ring.
