Im really confused though... I mean if i do decide to remarry its traditional for the woman to take the mans lastname... What about my LO? We would have different lastnames... I dont really want that :/

Hyphenate your name. That way you still carry the same name as your son.

LO has her fathers last name, my married name. Im a lil unsure how SO would take that. And another question when SO & i have kids how will their last names work?

What do you expect when you have kids with SO? They obviously have to hav his last name unless you're giving them your ex's name. So either way one of yor children will Hve a diff last name. The only thing to do would be to marry and hyphenate your names like someone else said to have both of your children's last name. Idk what else to say.

why will neither of you divorce your ex's?

my parents have been engaged for almost 30years and have said they will never get married... and they are the happiest couple ive ever meet, while all my friends parents got divorced they got stronger and happy... sometimes they make me cringe by how lovey dovey they are and people always say to me how they are always holding hands where ever they go!!!!

I wonder that too. If I was done in a relationship with my ex (so much so that I was willing to plan to commit my life to another man) I would be wanting a divorce.

Does a last name really matter that much?
You can give the kid any name and last name that you want
For example DD had SOs second last name not his first which it's his fathers last name because he 1 doesn't like it and 2 his dad left them.
