Disappointed...

For the first time since they stopped contractions at 33 weeks, the contractions hit me today and oh my god, I thought this was it. I didn't tell SO for the first forty minutes cuz I wanted to make sure it was what I thought it was (it was higher up than last time, hurt far worse, and came so close together that I couldn't tell if up was down). After an hour of timing them (at 3-5 mins like clockwork) we hurried up to L&D; I was sure I was gonna be coming home with my DD.
An hour later I wasn't dilating any further and the contractions were finally slowed so they decided to release me.
I am now a sad panda

I know it sucks, but be happy you were allowed to come home and not put on pitocin.
I kinda had the same thing happen but was still having contractions with no progress and they put me on pit and I ended up with an emergency csection the next day-no fun.
Get a good nights sleep and go for a nice long 2-3 hour walk tomorrow and it may help things along.

UGH. thats the worse.
I wasn't progressing as quick as I should have but I begged them to keep me and agreed to start on pitocin.... DS was born that night, vaginally.
Hang in there... your time is coming soon!

awe that sucks!!....I had been to the point where my doctor kept telling me "don't come unless you're 3-5 minutes apart or your water breaks" so I one upped her and I waited until I was 3-5 minutes apart AND my water broke..I almost couldn't handle the pain when I had finally called L&D to let them know I was coming..as I was talking to L&D my water broke(the second I started explaining to them how bad it hurt) and I just said "I think my water just broke, I'm coming now"..lol..I am seriously not going in this time until both happen again, they won't turn you down if your water is broken!..lol

I went in a few days after my due date to be induced, and went through 17 hours of contractions on cytotec and prepadil with no progress. My cervix was being super stubborn and the doc said he could break my water and start pitocin but he was very confident that I'd end up with a c section so I opted to go home, still pregnant and hope my body would start labor on its own, which it didnt. I feel your pain!

Get to walking! That's how i helped my contractions to move along once they started! And walking took away a lot of the pain during the contractions.
